THE PLEA OF PARENTS: DEAR BIRDS, COME BACK TO THE NEST

*The Plea of Parents:

“Dear Birds, Come Back to the Nest…”

Parents are the ones who toil their entire lives for us, who rejoice in our every success, who set aside their own dreams just to see a smile on our faces. Their sacrifices, fondness, selfless love and devotion are beyond what words can describe.

They deny themselves basic comforts to fulfill our wishes, they dream of a bright future for us. In every tired breath of theirs, there is only one prayer:
“May my children be happy…”
They never ask God for anything for themselves — whatever they ask is only for their children.

But today…
These very parents are left alone.
Their hair has fallen out, their teeth are gone, their vision is fading… yet their wait for their children and grandchildren hasn’t ended.

Parents who are nearing the end of life still long for their children,...
just one phone call, one visit, one loving hug!

Now, their conversations are with the walls of their homes.
Tears well up as they eat alone.
Their minds constantly wonder:
"Will my children return? Where are they now? Are they eating well? Are they safe?"
Their hearts are burdened with endless worry and anxiety.

Their eyes shimmer with the hope of seeing their grandchildren,
but no one has the time.
And so, their hearts ache and cry out silently — “Dear birds… come back to the nest…”

In old age, more than medicine, they need your love,
more than a resting chair, they need your presence,
they don't want charity — they simply need your attention.

Dear friends, parents never ask for much…
Just a little time, a smile, a hug, a memory.
Wipe away their tears, feed them with affection —
Call them today, visit them soon because...

Because… tomorrow may be too late.
Once they’re gone… they will never come back.
