WHY TO READ BOOKS?

Why to read Books?
It is said that God made this world and then to study this world he fathered the great philosophers like Plato and Aristotle who laid the foundation of Literary Criticism. Plato said, "Books give a soul to the Universe, Wings to the mind, Flight to the Imagination and Life to everything."

There is nothing more enjoyable than reading a book. Book reading is the consumption of knowledge and accumulation of information. Book reading is the neglect of darkness and worship of knowledge. Books provide brain-food. Readers mind is overwhelmed with prudent thoughts. The depth of knowledge is widened. Horizon of information is expanded. The darkness of ignorance is vanished.

I would like to say that books lead us from darkness of Ignorance to the light of Knowledge. Books take us away from the pit of negativity to the top of positivity. Books take us away from the world of Unknown to the world of Known. Books aren't just made of words and pages, those are filled with the places to visit and worldwide great people to meet.

Books provide access to in-depth knowledge through a travel forward and backward in time.  While reading book you need to be fully present and engaged.

Mahatma Gandhiji said, "I became a Mahatma just by reading books, otherwise I would have known only Barrister Mohandas Karachand Gandhi."

Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar once said, "Reading is my breath and books give me life. The whole world kicked me away, but the books brought me closer and gave me strength to fight."

The British are called as great lovers of books. Once I read the British saying that "Once we can give up our kingdom but we would never give up our beloved William Shakespeare who has provided a good stuff for the innumerable brains on the planet earth."

Hardly anyone can disagree the fact that bread is useful for our body but book is the food for the brain. There are plenty of benefits of book reading.
